Dirty Job....

Title: Mr. Propper

Sometimes the fluid of my toilet cleaner starts to leak befor it is empty. Than I take a sheet of toilet paper take the old cleaner.....in this case the orange one. Put the new blue one in the right place of the refiller box and wait what happens........In my case, it went wrong. The new  fluid  leaked also and I had to take a new refiller box. Before I finished my "dirty job" I photographed the whole desaster......:)

Manchmal wird der Flüssig - Nachfüll - WC-Reiniger leck, kurz bevor er leer ist. In diesem Fall der Orange. Dann nehme ich Toilettenpapier, reinige die Halterung vom Austauschblock und bestücke das gute Ding wieder mit einer neuen Reinigungsflüssigkeit. (Blau war die Farbe von Herrn Propper). Hin und wieder passiert es aber, dass auch der der neu eingesetzte Block gleich leckt. Dann ist es Zeit für eine neue Reinigungsbox....davor aber......hab ich das ganze noch fotografiert:)

Sawfish

Title: Still Life 

Last week I stored the clothes pin and the line in the cellar. As usual, I put all the things in a bucket and on a shovel. When I went into the cellar yesterday I found as a surprise this scene......the clothes line in the bucket (located under an glass table) looked like a saw fish on the ground of the sea. I took the camera and made this unusual still life shot of a cellarfish.

Letzte Woche verstaute ich die Wäscheklammern und die Leine im Keller. Wie immer kam die Leine in einen Kübel und die Klammern auf eine Schaufel. Als ich dann gestern wieder in den Keller ging fand ich zu meiner Überaschung diese Szene.....die Wäscheleine und die Klammern (die ich unter einen Glastisch schob) sahen aus, als ob ein Sägefisch am Grund des Kellers schwimmen würde. Ich nahm meine Kamera und machte diese ungewöhnliche Still Life Aufnahme eines Kellerfisches.

Firebird

Title: Soap,Oil,Microfibre Towel and Nail Brush

Everytime when I clean and lubricate the chain of my bike I have more oil on my fingers than on the chain. Last time, when I cleaned my hands after this diry task, I put the microfibre towel on the glass plate next to the water tap and a firebird appeared. With my oily fingers and the nail brush I formed the complete soapbird. Than I took the camera and photographed the bird througt the glass plate............short time later, the bird disappeared......

Immer wenn ich die Kette an meinem Fahrrad reinige und schmiere, habe ich mehr Öl auf den Fingern als auf der Kette. Letztes Mal, als ich meine Hände von dieser schmutzigen Arbeit reinigte, legte ich wie immer das Mikrofasertuch auf die Glasplatte neben dem Wasserhahn. Beim Händewaschen betrachtete ich das Tuch und plötzlich erschien mir in groben Zügen ein Feuervogel. Mit meinen öligen Fingern und der Nagelbürste machte ich noch ein paar Striche und dann war der Soapbird fertig. Ich nahm die Kamera und fotografierte das schöne Tier durch die Glasplatte.....kurze Zeit später verschwand der bunte Vogel leider wieder......

Ballerina

 

 Title: Garden hose and Wire

In summer I usually build a garden shower. This time I used an electrical wire, a garden hose and a steel sheet (as a stayer). Before I was ready with the installation (unfortunately the shower looks a bit abstract :) I looked at my work and found a ballerina. 

......then I turned on the tap and let her dance in the rain......

Im Sommer baue ich mir meist eine Gartendusche. Dieses mal verwendete ich dazu einen Elektrikerdraht, einen Gartenschlauch und ein Stahlblech (als Steher) . Bevor ich mit der Installation (die leider etwas abstrakt aussieht:) fertig war, betrachtete ich mein Werk und fand eine Ballerina.

 ......dann drehte ich  den Wasserhahn auf und ließ Sie im Regen tanzen.....

The Coffee Ghost

Title: Pot with milled coffee

Instruction to find the coffee ghost:

1. Step: Put the coffee beans into the mill.

2. Step: Grind the coffee into a small pot...the smaller the pot the better! (it helps to disperse the coffee in the kitchen as wide as possible:)

3. Step: Empty the milled coffee into the portafilter. Shake the pot with the rest of the milled coffee twice!!

4. Step: Press the milled coffee into the portafilter.

5. Step: Observe the result in the kitchen - put the portafilter next to the dirtiness and search for the ghost....I am sure you will find him:)

........Hopefully your coffee ghost is in a better mood...........


Anleitung um den Kaffeegeist zu finden:

1. Schritt: Gebe frische Kaffeebohnen in die Mühle

2. Schritt: Mahle den Kaffee in einen möglichst kleinen Behälter....je kleiner desto besser! (das hilft den Kaffee in der Küche so weit wie möglich zu verstreuen:)

3. Schritt: Leere den gemahlenen Kaffee in den Siebträger und schüttle den Behälter mit dem gemahlenen Kaffee zwei Mal!

4. Schritt: Stampfe den gemahlenen Kaffee im Siebträger

5. Schritt: Begutachte die Sauerei die nun in der Küche vorhanden ist - lege den Siebträger neben den Kaffeepulver und suche den Kaffeegeist....ich bin sicher auch du wirst den Geist finden:)

.......Hoffentlich ist dein Kaffeegeist in besserer Stimmung...........

Dark Vision

Title: Two coffeepucks from a portafilter (Tasseography)

There is magic around coffee. Many cultures try to find out what happens in the future with "coffee reading". The typical methode is the following:

After a cup of tea has been poured, without using a tea strainer, the tea is drunk or poured away. The cup should then be shaken well and any remaining liquid drained off in the saucer. The diviner now looks at the pattern of coffee in the cup and allows the imagination to play around the shapes suggested by them. They might look like a letter, a heart shape, or a ring. These shapes are then interpreted intuitively or by means of a fairly standard system of symbolism, such as: snake (enmity or falsehood), spade (good fortune through industry), mountain (journey of hindrance), or house (change, success).

When I shaked my coffeepucks in my puckbox I got this mythic face.............

Kaffee hat etwas magisches. Viele Kulturen versuchen in die Zukunft zu sehen indem Sie im Kaffeesud lesen. Die typische Methode ist die folgende:

Nachdem eine Tasse geleert wurde, schwenkt man diese und beobachtet dabei das Bild, dass sich am Boden der Tasse bildet. Je nach der Form des Bildes gibts es unterschiedliche Deutungen.....Schlange (Falschheit), Spaten (wirtschaftlicher Erfolg), Berg (beschwerliche Reise), Haus (Änderungen, Erfolg)

Als ich die Kaffeepuckbox nach dem Kaffee zubereiten schüttelte, kam das folgende mystische Gesicht heraus....

Das ist meine Kunst des Kaffeelesens.

Grow Grass

Title: Rake and Seed

In Austria it is now the best time to grow grass. It is raining every day and you can watch with your eyes how fast the grass grows. Last time I spread seed on the floor. Than I took a rake to distribute the seed.  The camera was fixed on my body...and the movements are my movements during my work. It was a real hard job:)

Derzeit ist in Österreich die beste Zeit um Gras anzubauen. Es regnet jeden Tag und man kann fast beim Graswachsen zusehen. Das letzte Mal verteilte ich Samen am Boden. Dann nahm ich einen Rechen und verteilte den Samen. Die Kamera war dabei an meinem Körper fixiert....und die Bewegung im Bild zeigt meine Bewegung während der Arbeit. Das war ein echt harter Job:)

Capricorn

Title: Mountain Pine

Location: Rax, Austria

The last two weeks I spent a lot of time in the alps. We had a lot of snow this year and the conditions for  couloir skiing are very good now. On the way to the top of the Rax I found this mountain pine. The morning light was beautiful and the capricorn was happy to meet me. This was a good start for this ski day......:) 

Die letzten Wochen verbrachte ich viel Zeit in den Alpen. Wir hatten viel Schnee dieses Jahr und derzeit sind beste Bedingungen fürs "Rinnen" schifahren. Ich fand diese Latsche am Weg auf die Rax. Das Morgenlicht war wunderschön und der Steinbock freute sich mich zu sehen. Das war ein schöner Start für diesen Schitag.......:)

Self-Portrait

 Title: "Mirror, Mirror......"

When I cleaned the window last time, I found out, that the sanitary cleaner makes nice stripes on a glass front.(unfortunately I used the wrong cleaner....) Now, I used this technique for my new selfportrait. I placed me in front of a big mirror, put sanitary cleaner on it - made some nice stripes on the right places....and photographed myself with a self timer. Mirror, Mirro on the wall.........:)

Als ich das letzte Mal die Fenster reinigte und irrtümlich den Sanitärreiniger erwischte, bemerkte ich, wie schöne Streifen dieser auf der Glasoberfläche macht. Ich verwendete nun diese Technik für mein neues Selbstportrait. Ich stellte mich vor einen großen Spiegel, sprühte Sanitärreiniger auf, verwischte den Reiniger so, wie ich es für interessant empfand und betätigte den Selbstauslöser. Spieglein, Spieglein an der Wand......:)

 

Flower Power

Title: Magic Dandelion

Location: Unterdanegg, Austria

In the living room I have a "Maskros" lamp on the ceiling. Below this lamp is a glass table. Sometimes I put flowers on the table to decorate the living room. In the evening, this lamp creates wonderful shadows on the ceiling. And when you lie among the glass table......below the flowers....the fresh cutted stems.....and below the pendant light, you will imagine a colorful, magic dandelion......

Im Wohnzimmer habe ich eine Maskros Lampe an der Decke hängen Unter der Lampe steht ein Glastisch. Manchmal stelle ich Blumen zwecks Dekoration auf den Glastisch. Wenn man dann am Abend diese Deckenlampe aufdreht, enstehen wunderschönen Schatten an der Decke. Und wenn man dann noch unter dem Glastisch liegt...... unter den Blumen....und unter den gerade gekürzten Stengeln........ und dieser Maskroslampe....einfach so dahinträumt, dann kann es schon passieren, dass man eine zauberhaft, bunte Löwenzahnblume entdeckt...

Sweet Juice

Titel: Raspberry Man

It is always interesting how different a situation can look like, if you change your perspective!

 

When we drank juice at lunch on our glass table, I upset a glass of juice and created a disaster...... This was the right time, to take my camera. I made the photo through the glass table - lying on the floor. Fortunately the walls are white and give a nice background.

Es ist immer interessant, wie unterschiedlich eine Situation aussehen kann, wenn man nur die Perspektive ändert.

Als wir Saft zum Mittagessen tranken, habe ich leider ein Glas umgestoßen und eine mächtige Sauerrei hinterlassen........Das war nun der richtige Moment für mich, den Fotoapparat zu holen. Ich machte das Foto durch die Glasplatte, auf dem Boden liegend. Glücklicherweise sind die Wände weiß und ergeben einen neutralen Hintergrund.

Turning Around

 

Titel: Roundabout Traffic

Location: Ternitz, Austria

In Austria, we got more and more roundabout traffics in the last decade. Sometimes it is realy funny, because it makes so much fun to drive around and around and around.....and when I fix my camera on the window and make a picture during my way through the roundabout it is sometimes impressive, which results I get. This year I will do more of them - maybe to create a whole series with 6-10 pictures -  title "the art of turning around"

In Österreich wurden in den letzten 10 Jahren immer mehr Ampeln durch Kreisverkehre ersetzt. Und manchmal ist es wirklich interessant.........es macht mir soviel Spaß, einfach nur rund herum zu fahren:) Runde um Runde - rund um das bunten Blumenmeer.....und wenn man dann noch eine Kamera am Fenster montiert und die Eindrücke während einer Runden festhält, dann kommen manchmal ganz interessante Bilder ans Tageslicht. Dieses Jahr werde ich mehr  Kreisverkehre fahren - vielleicht gelingt mir ja eine Bildserie mit 6 - 10 Kreisverkehren mit dem Titel "the art of turning around".

Window

Title: "The Cleaning Expert"

Yesterday, I decided to clean my windows. This is common in Austria in spring. Unfortunately I used the wrong cleaning product (bath cleaner.........it looked like glass cleaner:). So, I got nice stripes on the window, instead of a glass clear window......but I captured this nice picture!

Gestern, habe ich beschlossen, meine Fenster zu putzen. Das ist ganz normal um diese Jahreszeit. Leider erwischte ich den falschen Reiniger (Badreiniger.....anstatt dem Glasreiniger:) Irgendwie entstanden mit dem Reiniger wunderschöne Spuren am Fenster....nur richtig rein wurde es nicht........aber dafür konnte ich dieses interessante Bild machen!

Kiss

Titel: Lady Violet

As a welcome it is in Austria usual for friends to get a cheek kiss. Sometimes you get one left and right. Sometimes you get this twice. And sometimes you get no kiss....... In this case, if you look down, there exist often a warped picture!

Zur Begrüßung gibt es oft ein Küsschen links und rechts und machmal nochmals links und manchmal auch nochmals rechts und manchmal gibt es gar keines....... Wendet man dann  kurz den Blick ab,  und schaut nach unten, dann werden immer wieder schräge Bilder wahr!

Synthetic Sperm

Titel: CarWash Soap

Location. Wr. Neustadt, Austria

Last weekend I went to a tunnel car wash with my car. I cleaned my car as usual (once a year....) As a surprise I saw, that the car cleaning soap had two different colors. The soap created  nice patterns on the windscreen of my car. I was realy happy with this. One hour later, I took my camera and did the next round of carwash with my car, the camera fixed on the drivers seat.........after the third trial I had the picture which I wanted......(and my car is now realy clean:)

Letzte Woche war ich in der Waschstraße mit meinem Auto. Ich reinigte mein Auto wie immer (einmal im Jahr.....) Als Überraschung sah ich beim Durchfahren in der Waschstraße, dass dort jetzt Seife mit zwei verschiedenen Farben verwendet wird. Die Seife machte schöne Muster auf der Frontscheibe des Autos. Ich war sehr glücklich mit dem Autowaschen (geniale Muster)  und so kam es, dass ich eine Stunde später noch eine Runde mit dem Auto durch die Waschstraße fuhr...nur dieses Mal mit dem Fotoaparat am Fahrersitz montiert. Nach der 3. Wäsche war ich dann mit dem Seifenfoto zufrieden.....und mein Auto ist nun wirklich rein:)

Bus Bus

Last week I was skiing. I took this photo from a ski slope above the bus stop. Unfortunately I was not able to catch the bus (the bus on the right side) because it took to much time to make this photo.......

Letzte Woche war ich schifahren. Ich machte dieses Bild bei einer Abfahrt die oberhalb einer Bushaltestelle vorbeiführte. Leider erwischte ich den Bus nicht mehr (den rechten Bus) da ich zuviel Zeit für das Foto brauchte.......

Wonder Flower

 

Three Balloons

In winter we have only a few colors in our nature (brown, white and gray ......). When I saw this beautiful balloons in front of a DIY store, I was happy, because they reminded me of the summer. The balloons looked, as if they were wonder flowers....... dancing in the warm summer breeze.

Im Winter gibt es in der Natur bei uns nur ganz wenige Farben (braun, weiß, grau......). Als ich die schönen Ballons vor einem Baumarkt sah, war ich ganz glücklich, denn Sie erinnerten mich an den Sommer. Die Ballons sahen aus wie Wunderblumen die im Sommerwind tanzen.......

Ice and Window

"Claw Marks"

We had -14°C this Sunday morning. When I opened the car I checked, if the ice on the car is inside. I did this "claw marks" and wondered why the marks looked so brillant. 

.....there was a red truck, which parked next to me and the truck created the nice red colors through the car window.

Wir hatten -14°C am Sonntag in der Früh. Als ich das Auto öffnete, prüfte ich mit meinen Kratzspuren, ob das Eis am Fenster auf der Innenseite des Autos ist und wunderte mich, warum das ganze so nett aussah. 

.....der Grund dafür lag am roten LKW der neben mir parkte und die schönen Farben durchs Fenster warf.

Ash and Snow

 

Sunflower

 It is winter time in Austria. On a Farm they throw the ash in the snow........ next to the road. 

I photographed it because it looks like a sunflower in winter......

Es ist Winter in Österreich. Auf einer Farm werfen sie die Asche in den Schnee neben der Straße. Die Asche wird für mich zur Sonnenblume im Winter.........

Der Esstisch nach der Weihnachtsfeier. Was für eine Sauerei.....! Das Bild wurde vom ersten Stock aufgenommen
